Statement of Faith
- GOD: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – equally sharing the same nature and attributes of Deity. (Matthew 3:16-17; John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:18)
- THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible is God-breathed, written by men under God’s authority. We believe it is completely true and trustworthy, and speaks with supreme authority on all matters of faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12) Â
- CREATION: We believe God created all people in His image, thus giving them intrinsic value. He uniquely and wonderfully creates each person male or female – two distinct but complementary identities that together reflect His image and likeness. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Psalm 139:13-16; Psalm 8:3-6)
- SIN: We believe sin entered the world through man’s disobedience, and as a result all humans are now born with a sin nature, alienated from God, in need of reconciliation with Him, and incapable of saving themselves. (Genesis 3:1-8; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)
- JESUS: We believe Jesus is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, and is both fully God and fully human. He demonstrated God’s love for sinners by paying the penalty of death in their place, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father.
- His Person – (Luke 1:26-36; John 1:1-3, 14; Colossians 1:15-19; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4; Colossians 2:9)
- His Work – (Acts 2:22-24; Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 8:34)
- SALVATION: We believe that all who place their trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone for salvation are declared to be reconciled with Him, receiving forgiveness and eternal life by the grace of God. (John 1:11-12; Acts 4:11-12; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; John 14:6)
- THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe the Holy Spirit gives new life to those who place their faith in Jesus Christ. Through His indwelling presence and transforming power, He gives assurance of eternal life and equips believers for holy living and effective service. We believe in His present ministry as our Teacher and Counselor as we grow in our relationship with God. (John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7; 1 Corinthians 2:9-12; John 14:26)
- THE CHURCH: We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, with the God-given responsibility to make disciples of all nations. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:15-16; Matthew 16:15-16, 18; Acts 1:8)
- ETERNITY: We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will come again to judge the world. All who have received salvation will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God, and those who have not will suffer eternal separation from Him. (Matthew 25:31-34, 41, 46; Revelation 20:11-12, 15; John 5:24-29; 2 Corinthians 5:10)
